Most pieces in our collection are built to order — cut, sewn, and upholstered specifically for your home. The policy below explains what can and can't be returned, so there are no surprises after delivery.

We'd rather you take your time choosing than send a sofa back.

Cocoon Modern — On Buying Well

Tier One — Cassis (Quick Ship)

30 days to live with it.

Cassis pieces ship from our warehouse and qualify for our standard return window. If something doesn't feel right, you have 30 days from delivery to start a return.

Eligible for return: Cassis — 100% Performance Polyester
Window: 30 days from delivery
Condition: Unused, in original packaging
Return shipping: Deducted from refund

To start a return, contact our team with your order number. We'll arrange pickup and process your refund within 10 business days of the piece arriving back at our warehouse.

Tier Two — Belgian Linen

Made for you. Final sale.

Belgian Linen pieces are cut, sewn, and upholstered to your specification. Because no two orders are alike, these pieces are considered custom and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Final sale: All Belgian Linen configurations
Lead time: 6–8 weeks
Why: Each piece is built individually for your order

If you're unsure, order free swatches first. We'd rather take six weeks to help you choose than ship a piece that doesn't belong in your home.

Tier Three — Velvet

Made for you. Final sale.

Velvet pieces are made to order in our 22-color palette. Like our Belgian Linen, these are custom configurations — built to your spec — and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Lead time: 8–10 weeks
Why: Cut, dyed, and assembled per order

Velvet reads differently in person than on screen. Request swatches before you commit — we want you to see the actual color in your actual light.

Inspect On Delivery

Open and inspect your piece within 48 hours of delivery. If anything looks wrong, take photos before unpacking further.

Email hello@cocoonmodern.com with your order number and photos. We respond within one business day.

We Make It Right

For damaged or defective pieces, we replace, repair, or refund — your call. No restocking fees, no return shipping charged.

30-Day Quick Ship Returns

For Cassis pieces returned within 30 days, we arrange pickup and process your refund within 10 business days of the piece arriving back. Return shipping is deducted from the refund.
